Vauxhall 23/60 Velox Style Tourer 1923 , with 30/98 spec engine
The Vauxhall was found in the 1970’s in the outback of Australia in a very complete condition , but the “Kingston”body was in a poor condition. The restoration was started in the 1990’s , including the build of a new body in the style of the 30/98 Velox Vauxhalls.
The engine was rebuild and upgraded by an engineer to 30/98 specifications; 98bore , camshaft profile to 30/98 , new cam follewers, modern conrods, new domed pistons.
Gearbox overhauled with new bearings and close ratio gears.
The car has; 4 wheels brakes with the Kidney-box on the front wheels, the orignal CAV lights and side light plus the CAV control swith panel.
This Vauxhall is a good alternative for a 30/98 , with enough space for the (tall)driver and passengers.
Its very good looking and impressive car with a powerful engine ,
