Dutch heavy lift, transport and rigging group Wagenborg Nedlift has taken delivery of a new 450 tonne eight axle Liebherr LTM 1450-8.1 All Terrain crane.
The new crane, ordered earlier this year along with a 700 tonne LTM 1650-8.1, was delivered to the company’s yard in Hengelo, the Netherlands. The LTM 1450-8.1 can travel complete with its 85 metre telescopic boom, outriggers and winch within 12 tonne axle loads. The crane also features the VarioBallast adjustable counterweight, Variobase outrigger set up system and the ECO mode system to reduce noise and fuel consumption.
The two operators of the new crane - Jacob van der Linden and Niek Datema - and colleague Rico Hogenkamp received the keys to the crane from Patrick de Jong of Liebherr Netherlands.
The investment in new eight axle Liebherrs is part of the company’s strategy to win a greater slice of the growing market for complex and heavy lifting in the infrastructure and industrial sectors in the Benelux region and northern Germany.
